Waterbus Service
All aboard!
We are happy to reintroduce our revised waterbus service - showcasing Bristol from the water's perspective.
We will be offering single fares for those wishing to get from A to B, or a stay-on-board fare for those wanting to sit back and see the entire Harbour.
Timetable excluding Saturdays (check Travel Updates at top of website)
On Saturdays, we may either not operate, or halt services presented in italic.
Fares
All fares are determined by the scheduled length of journey and can be purchased from our friendly crew via contactless card payment - children under 3 years old travel free.
Journey | Fare |
Up to 10 minutes on board... | £2 |
Up to 20 minutes on board... | £4 |
Up to 30 minutes on board... | £6 |
Up to 40 minutes on board... | £8 |
Over 40 minutes or Full Tour | £12 |
Please note that we do not currently accept bookings for the waterbus service - all customers are first come first serve.
If our boat has reached full capacity, unfortunately we will not be able to board new passengers until the next available opportunity.
Support the Fleet
As a Community Business every penny you spend on Bristol Ferry Boats is invested back into our fleet and the services we offer. If you would like to help support our annual maintenance program or education work, please either donate, subscribe or become a member of our Community Benefit Society.

To catch the ferry please arrive a couple of minutes early and be clearly visible at the landing stage - wave to hail the ferry to you.
We serve 7 landing stages; Temple Meads, Castle Park, City Centre, Wapping Wharf, ss Great Britain, Mardyke Wharf and The Cottage
COVID-19
We ask that anyone who is feeling unwell, or has been in close contact with someone who has tested postive for COVID-19, does not board the ferry.
