River Avon New Cut
Join us for a Grand Tour of Bristol's Waterways
During this global public health crisis we recognise the great need and responsibility to limit social gatherings and all unnecessary travel. It is therefore with sadness that we have temporarily stopped running services. We do however look forward to welcoming customers back on the water as soon as we can safely do so.
SEE OUR FANTASTIC CITY FROM A TOTALLY DIFFERENT ANGLE
This is a fascinating and unique trip. Starting with a cruise down Bristol harbour towards Hotwells where we lock out into the River Avon. We then head out into the Avon Gorge passing the Rocks Railway and the old Steamship Dock, under Brunels famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and down to the ancient Roman port at Sea Mills.
We then retrace our steps and cruise along the new cut- the waterway that was cut out to divert the course of the river Avon to enable the making of the 'floating Harbour'. No other boat trip offers this rare opportunity to experience this aspect of passing the general Hospital, the old post office and taking in views of Netham Weir.
This trip gives so much, the thrill of the lock, bridges, fascinating architecture, rocky outcrops, wildlife and many surprise glimpses into Bristols industrial past all brought to life through an informative commentary throughout from our knowledgable skippers.
