Trial ferry service from netham Lock

Netham Commuter & Weekend Service - May 18th - 26th 2024

We are launching a second trial to test the feasibility of offering services between Netham Lock and City Centre - this time, operating from the Lock Keeper's Cottage, for safer pedestrian access.

The service will be divided into two structures; a Mon-Friday service for commuters at a cheaper rate - and a Weekend service in line with our standard fare structure, which we hope will fund the weekday commuter service for better longevity.

Pre-booking is advised; however tickets can be purchased on board using card payment.

Netham Lock to City Centre

  • Monday to Friday - departs at 8am, arrives into City Centre at 8:40am - £3 fare.
  • Weekends - departs at 10am, arrives into City Centre at 10:40am - £8 fare (or £12 Day Ticket to use on our Waterbus Service).

This is a trial period to determine if there is sufficient demand for the service and feedback through surveying is vital for our research. If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact us at office@bristolferry.com

Important Information

There will only be one departure a day from either Netham Lock or City Centre, and pre-booking is advised.

Our Travel Updates banner at the top of the webpage will inform guests of remaining spaces on board.

Netham Lock will be closed to the public until our staff arrive and escort you to the boat; this is to keep the general public away from the water whilst the Lock is unmanned.
