History:

  • Built in 1962
  • Lifeboat on a ship designed for laying cables on the ocean floor, working mainly in the Caribbean and came to Avonmouth docks to have a major overhaul. But sadly a serious fire broke out on board and the ship was scrapped. The lifeboats however had been taken off the ship and were then auctioned off.
  • When she first came to Bristol she was owned by the Bristol Packet company.
  • She was then sold to Rick Wakeham, who operated her for *** years
  • Bought by Boats At Bristol (sister company to Bristol Ferry Boat Company) in 2006, maintaining her original red livery
  • ...so this little lifeboat has actually been owned by three different Bristol Passenger boat operators.
